Melbourne Concerts 2016 insights

 Melbourne Concerts 2016 insights

It has been a very busy month of jazz and flamenco guitar performances here in Melbourne. One of my favourite concerts was staged at the National Art Gallery of Victoria last week. It was a private corporate event for the Spanish company called Acciona.

Melbourne Concerts 2016 insights Thomas LorenzoI would like to praise the acoustics of the room I performed in. The room reverb had an audible delay of less than a second. The natural room reflections were brilliant and sweet. It was like hearing a  sweeter echo of ones self. It has been a long time since I have enjoyed, so much, the acoustics of a performance venue.

I tend to change the way I interpret, flamenco and jazz guitar when  notes are sustained through natural reverb. The Spanish guitar lacks lyrical sustain as a human voice would have. The guitar cannot hold a note for long, and long reverbs, with pre delay, can enhance its lyrical character.

NAB corporate event Melbourne Concerts insights

Also last week, the NAB held a corporate event for its employees at 500 Bourke street. It was a real pleasure to play flamenco and jazz guitar, for a crowd that was seeking to cool off after a hard weeks work. I tend to play in a creative manner at all events and in a way not different to how I would play at my concerts. The crowd  loved the personal touch and enjoyed my music with which I try to  portray emotions. Thank you all for such a wonderful evening.

A special thanks to all the crew from CRBE and Hello City, for hosting  this event.

Last concert in August

There is one more concert left before I head off to Spain next week. The concert will be held this coming Friday, August 26,  at 7 pm at the Armadale Uniting Church. Please take a peak at all the wonderful Melbourne concert reviews the audience left behind at previous concerts.

You may purchase Melbourne Concert tickets through these links. The ticket price is of $25 dollars. The concert lasts one hour and I will showcase compositions of the upcoming flamenco and jazz album, I will be recording in Spain, this month of September.

If you are interested in Melbourne guitar courses and lessons.  Please note that my music school will reopen on October 10th.

Hope to see you all very soon.
