June 24, 2016, Melbourne Concert Insights
Once again I must say thank you to all guitar music lovers who came to my Flamenco and Jazz concert held last Friday evening, June 24, 2016 at 7 p.m, at the Armadale Uniting Church. It was a cold and rainy night. Winter nights can be sad, especially if the rain has been going on for a few days, as this last week has happened.
I had the pleasure of performing alongside Tamara Murphy on Bass and Souren Chakerian on percussion.
The show was recorded on video by Tom´s Recording Studio. For all those who would have loved to attend and did not, this video will give you a nice idea of how flamenco, jazz and improvised music come to life in an intimate church setting. Please visit my you tube channel to take a peak.
The Spanish guitar can be a very lyrical and percussive instrument. It can make you cry and dance at the same time. I must say that my musical companions made me cry from deep inside, this last Friday.
Melbourne is full of surprising entertainment acts. My concert series is just one of many beautiful live acts to see in the city. The church setting allows for my intimate groovy harmonious music to come alive .
We will be holding similar events during the rest of the year, adding to the Melbourne live music scene further vitality. Please feel free to subscribe to my newsletter to keep updated on further live music concerts, cds and tours in Melbourne and abroad.
The following month of September I will be traveling back to Spain, for my yearly tour in one of my homelands. Australia is my homeland of birth and Spain of existence.
Please feel free also to visit my creative guitar school website for information on upcoming guitar courses in flamenco, jazz and blues.
